Horrible Customer Service
I placed an order with DickSmith yesterday.
No more than 5 minutes after purchasing, I realised the deliver address was wrong and immediately asked to change the address.
I heard nothing from the company apart from a generic message.
After some more obsessive staring at my email I realised the delivery fee was also double what it was meant to be - so I obviously emailed the company again (as there is no direct customer service line) - still I got nothing but a generic message.
Almost 2 hours later I get an email saying my order has been sent out for delivery, with the wrong address might I add.
Again i messaged the company to get things sorted as I was working and couldn't spend the time looking for their number.
I heard nothing from them until this afternoon when they said the address had been updated, which i doubted very much - so i first went to the delivery company and then called them because there wasn't any details I could find with my tracking number.
I had a lovely chat with the customer service agent named Lynn who confirmed that firstly, the item hadn't been sent out for delivery, it hadn't even been scanned into their depot yet, and not only that but the address was still the wrong address in QLD rather than my current location in Melbourne Vic.
I will never recommend buying anything, big or small from DickSmith as any issues or changes needing to be made to the delivery or address will not be handled well or with any tacked.
I am still in the middle of getting things sorted out, and already canceled the order through paypal as I dont like to pay via my card on websites for the most part.
But the lack of clear communication, and almost impossible to find CS line, once this is settled, I will likely return the item all together and buy an identical treadmill elsewhere.
This has been an absolute s***show.
DO NOT BUY FROM DICKSMITH!
Very quick update, found a customer service line through some googling - called, got a pre-recorded message redirecting me to their "help centre" (which is both not a centre and not helpful) and then they hung up.
It's even worse than I thought.
I should have just kept thinking that DickSmith closed in 2015 when all their stores disappeared.

Preferred solution: a refund on extra delivery fees, correction to address and a real attempt from the business at making their customer service better - its unacceptable in 2024 to have such appalling customer service

I was sold the wrong item
I ordered a UV nail lamp from *** Smith. I did a lot of research prior to buying as I wanted a particular brand.
Found it on *** Smith for a very good price. The photo that was advertised shown the lamp that I wanted with the brand written on it. When I received it, it was clearly another brand. I have emailed them multiple time and I have received no answers.
I am really disappointed as I wont be able to use this UV lamp as it not the one I have ordered.
They used a photo from a well known brand and sold something else completely. I am not too sure how to reach out to them to get my refund as I am being completely ignored.
